I have just noticed.
LABLES ARE BACK IN 10.2.5
It's a full OS9 like implementation (right/comand click, is a sub menu), it even works with custom icons (it must do a hue, thing at OS level).
was this mentioned in another thread, that i missed. It seems odd that no one else has said anything, after the huge angst about OSX not having them.

R U sure you don't have some sort of haxie installed or that you're not on a drinking binge...?
I see nothing of the sort... If you are NOT delusional... then please post a screenshot for us to drool-over.

If you look closely he's not referring to "labels", he's referring to "lables"... a new, super-secret feature of 10.2.5. which resides in the totally under-used System Services menu, right under Dictionary!

Ok so what have I done (in the past, and forgotten about) to get this.
I have TinkerTool installed, but that wouldn't do this?
I do have The APE Manager installed, but only for Mighty Mouse. The APE Manager control it's self makes no refreance to labels.

Search your HD for anything called "Labels" and see what comes up...I bet alot of things from Unsanity start showing you "think" you don't have.

Maybe you're one of the lucky guys who accidentally got an early build of panther while trying to install 10.2.5

The position of the item in your contextual menu places it in the third-party items section.
Clearly the labels haxie by Unsanity.

Found it, It was something called "Stereotyper.plugin" in the "Contextual Menu Items?" I had 100% forgoten about this. DOH!
It's going in the bin, as I have never used it.
I never liked the Unsanity version (unless this is it?), I tried it in 10.1 (I think) when I first came out. It lead to loads of instability & slowness.

Not here, never a problem with a haxie on my machine whatsoever.

Damn, I got all excited when I read the thread topic too. I don't really need/use labels but I know a lot of people want them and was hoping that Apple had listened. Oh well, I'm sure they'll be in Panther.
