Personally I'd like a low end i5 and 320GPU, I expect i3/320GPU.

i5? Not when the 13" MBP doesn't have it. Apple will skip i3 due to conflict with Nvidia chipset. Expect pretty much the same specs as the low end 13" MBP.

Apple is kicking their own ass with their GPU options. there are 11in laptops with 335GPU and many 13's with the 330. I don't se why they don't just include that in the 13in. I don't get why they complain about "fitting it in the case" who said they have to keep the same case? they already do more longer then any other company(well, maybe IBM) and its not like they are passing the savings from not having to redesign the shell to the customer.

Most people don't buy Macbooks for gaming, so it isn't really in Apple's interest to trade off battery life or size (which are much more important to most macbook owners) for slightly faster graphics. Steve Jobs was 100% correct when he made the tradeoff. The only reason I'm not going to upgrade to a 13" MBP is that it isn't a significant upgrade from my existing MB.

Since you seem to want the Alienware M11x, why don't you just buy it? PCs get a much larger selection of games than Macs, and the games are available months to years earlier on the PC. If I played games at all, I would probably just get a cheap desktop with a fast graphics card (which will provide excellent performance on the newest games for the same money as that Alienware).

Of course Apple could have put a 330M in there. Remove the optical or half the battery, add a larger MLB with space for the 330M, add another fan, etc.

The point is Apple assumes battery life, optical drive, small case, or low noise are more important to the average 13" customer than the dedicated graphics. So yeah, they didn't want it there.

If you need dedicated graphics you either get the 15" MBP or a PC. Simple as that.

Oh an the MB isn't getting i5 for quite another while. Dream's over.
