9.1 & AppleScripts not Working

None of my AppleScripts work under MacOS 9.1. Half the commands are no longer "understood," has Apple changed AppleScript so much that nothing works from 9.0.4 and below?

Or am I missing something here?

Found out the problem. For whatever reason it requires the Security extensions to be installed for AppleScript to function correctly. Makes no sense to me, but it fixed the problem.
