yahoo messenger in paralles - install problems

i just cannot install yahoo messenger on my windows xp sp2 running on parallels desktop, it comes up with a weird message box " cannot connect to server ........" i tried disabling the firewall even then i could not install, i use gtalk it works fine and all other programs which hav connectivity to the internet work absolutely fine except for yahoo messenger.

Doesn't this belong in the alternative OS form?
Also, does this error happen during install or after you have installed and are attempting to connect?

Parallels sometimes has some issues with networking. How does Parallels have your network adapter configured?
