mine came with a small "scratch" type thing between the screen and the glass.
I will post a picture soon, but I truly feel bad exchanging it for such a small thing thing since people can barely find them anywhere.
That being said, it is a brand new item and as with most Apple products, I tend to see less of these defects.
iMac 27inch 3.4 i7 16gb ram, MacBook Air 11 inch i5 128gb, iMac 27inch 2.8 i7 8gb ram, MacBook Pro 17 inch 2.66 i7, 4gb ram 500gb HDD Seagate XT,
iPhone 4 - Time Capsule 2tb, Apple TV - iPad 2 64gb

Mine has a noticeable amount of light leaking from the edge of the screen. It's in the upper left corner in portrait view.
It's easy to see when there is a dark background or when watching a movie and the black bars are at the edge of the screens.
I plan to exchange in about a month when there are more available or when I feel like driving the 1.5 hrs to an Apple Store.

My screen is really dim compared to my 1st gen. I need to take it into the Apple Store and compare.

Other than that, only a super-minor one. The (very thin) aluminum by the cable socket is warped, but it's not interfering with use.

Mine's perfect. I had to settle for a different color than what I had planned to get, and I decided to go with the 3G model instead of WiFI only because that's what they had on hand, but the machine is perfect.

I just did so, and while it was slightly dimmer than the demo models, it was nothing worth returning it over.

Seems like a cheap way to keep the battery life spec consistent.

I don't have a MacBook, but the iPad has a "white on black" setting which can darken things up at the expense of looking all freaky.

It's one of the few things you can engage with a home button triple-click.

mine has a slight case of light leakage as well but then its only visible when you turn the brightness up to 100%. I reckon I will hardly ever do that. I just its not that big of a deal.

Defects are all exchangeable according to Apple, as long as the problems was not caused by you or other physical damages incurred by you.
