As yet I've not yet got any of the i-devices or even a smartphone for that matter, but I always find myself in the mostly social position of recommending devices apps and software's. More recently I seem to have influenced a few friends to get an iPad. I'm pretty certain that they will next want to know which apps to use for writing, notes, letters, posts, documents etc. ?

If you want a full app, I'd say iWork, otherwise you could probably use a cloud based solution. If they prefer talking to typing there is always Dragon Dictate.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

New iA Writer app available for writers. More are MyWritingSpot, DocumentsToGo Office Suite, WriteRoom from which some are paid ones. Hope this helps!

I know this reply is just oh so late but can’t stop myself from replying, haha.
Yes, it looks like that evernote is the winner among the writing apps in the market but personally, the AwesomeNote Lite is the most suited for my writing needs, though it could be synched with evernote too. Again, andi*pandi is right, there are tons of writing apps and all you (or your friends) gotta do is choose which is the most ideal to their needs. Different apps intended for novels, script-writing or just mere note taking.

Oh, by the way porrid, have you tried the other writing apps?
Which of the above mentioned do you or your friends highly recommend?
