For some time I've been trying to figure out the least expensive way to monitor stuff around a cabin I built out in the country. I have a telephone (recently installed), an old G4 with Airport Extreme and I would appreciate any advice on how to set up a network of inside/outside cameras.

Thanks!

Chuck

You're not going to be very successful monitoring anything through dial-up from a remote location (e.g., your home or office). Is there a broadband option, or will you just be monitoring the cameras while you are at the cabin?
Does it have always-on power, or is the power intermittent?

I have DSL, always-on. Speed IS OK. I will rarely monitor while in the cabin -- I'm trying to keep an eye on the place from 150 miles away.

Thanks for the reply!
