(I dont have an ipod yet, just tried it in the store).
How do I stop the track after I press play? I see a pause, but no stop button.

There is no stop button. What do you need a stop button for?

Nope. Just Menu back to the desired album/artist/playlist, select that, and press PLAY again.

If I leave ipod on to play all the songs, is there any auto-shutoff, or will it run till the battery dies? (I dont' have an ipod yet) Also do you think its too fat? I prefer the shape of the nano better in my hand.

The iPod doesn't know if you're listening or not. So if you leave it playing, it will continue to play until the battery dies.
