Thanks for the photos. I hope to joyfully unpack a new iMac 17" in the next 30 days. The screen looks great in those pix. Enjoy.

Awesome. It's so beautiful I'm sorta jealous.

I can hardly wait until my quicksilver gets back with all new plastics  It'll be soooo beautiful!

Looks like a Pottery Barn catalog.

Pottery Barn should sell iMacs in different patterns..

As a future switcher, I blame you guys for my current predicament

With your blatantly saliva-inducing pictures you have torn half of my lust away from the tibook to the imac, and I'm now experiencing a slew of sleepless nights while I ponder my requirements.

Damn you. Damn you all.

(Not really, of course - thanks for the great pics!)

Interesting placement of the iMac. I have mine on the only place I have for it - the desk in my room. It works great, and I love it, just about the perfect distance from my head, too.

I'm wondering how you like it on your coffee table, and how you have the power cords running - I'd love to have my iMac on a coffee table, but I have no table in front of my couches at home. I had it on a table beside my couch, but that was just too difficult since your head kept having to turn sideways.

I guess I'm trying to think of the best way to integrate an iMac into a home.

I would suggest buying the Mac first, then building your house around it!

There's only one cure and it can be found at Cure for Apple Lust

After you click there, choose the appropriate cure for your pain. It may take a couple days for the full effects to be realized, but once the cure sets in, things will never be the same again.

Like they say, once you go Mac you won't go back!

Oh, rest assured I will do just that in the next couple of weeks . Thankfully I have the wonder of an education discount to make the whole thing even more appealing... and just FYI, the PowerBook has lost out to the iMac! I'll post my own pics to this thread just as soon as it arrives

Thanks folks!

I am using a Nexstar 5 telescope and Olympus 730 UZ camera. The 10X zoom sure comes in handy.
