Hi there,
If I have iTunes on my computer now with a whole bunch of songs & playlists, is there any way I can take all the playlists from another computer (and all those songs from that other computer), and MERGE them all onto this computer? I'm getting rid of that 2nd machine, and I'm only going to be keeping this one machine.
I know that I can just copy over the "iTunes Music" folder from the other machine, but that would completely wipe out all the playlists & music on my machine.
I know that I can copy over just the .mp3 files, but then I don't know how to bring over the playlists that I've created on that other machine.
Is this an impossible request?
And for that matter, how would you do this with photos in iPhoto?
Thanks,
Scott

I second the above question but from disk to disk. The way the files work isn't really very intuitive. hope to get an answer as I've tried some of the simple solutions in books that don't work. And, for instance, in those date numbered IPhoto files...sometimes you see the .jpg files and other times data file that can't be opened.

Go to http://www.macupdate.com and do a quick search.
You should be able to find Applescripts that do those things for you.
You can also check Apple's site for iTunes Applescripts; they have a bunch on their site, as well.
