After 2 months and alot of.... f**k why does themepark do that? I'm proud to say Classix 10k is avaliable for download. Its a port of Gigatexel's and Bant's wonderful windows theme. Not a full on port, alot of the windows elements just don't work on the mac. So its my own rendition of the theme.

Whats included:

4 Theme variations
Safari Skin's
iChat Skin's
4 Desktops
4 Adiums Themes

Click the pic for a full preview

Click to download

I will have a website in around a week or two. Also look out for a theme update that will include a cool desktop from BrianC and more....

Make sure you try it, the preview image doesn't do it justice. Also try and match your desktop to it and that really helps.

Cool. Reminds me of QNX for some reason. Although this definitely has a more modern feel to it.

Good job!

I think you should make a black variation (I know that's exactly what you wanted to hear after finishing it. )

Not black, it would have to be a dark grey... black would be too dark.

Considering the theme is mostly a light tan color, yes black would be too dark.

Great Love the blue one, I'm not sure about the black text on the blue background, I think it would look much better if the text was white like in the rest of the theme...

Really cool looking minimalistic port
And great color schemes too!

Just a few comments / suggestions, though:
- the down arrow traffic glyph (in the titlebar) seems to have pure white pixels whereas other ones (x and +) don't
- finder action button's glyph is of different style than others used in theme (1px shadow instead of 1px outline)
- toolbar button in the titlebar also doesn't fit the overall style
- rounded text fields have stretched out caps (and don't fit the theme either)

Hope i didn't sound too nitpicky...

I like this theme. Best one for ages! I do agree white text would be good. A lighter blue would be great too but I'm nitpicking

where can i find the iconset that you shipped it with.

also, the 'you spelled this word wrong' thing is too thick. it covers up part of the text that you spelt wrong.

The icons are called bluecurve, someone ported them but I can't find them

I'm working on an update. I'd really like to seperate the theme as a port (asif it isn't already) I've fixed alot of bugs too which is good

Good job on the port. I remember liking all the screenshots when this was released for Windows.

I was the one who ported the BlueCurve icons btw, you can get them here.

Thanks, I've sucked in all the feedback and these are the new background buttons. They look so much better than before.

Cheers Cerebro! I knew you did them but where to find them http://cerbero.thinkhost.com/neowin/...ns.dmg.tar.bz2

If the set on the top are the new ones, they're much much much better. When you release that I can start using the theme!

Just another little suggestion

Could be beautiful to have also small and mini tabs.

Macromedia apps (DW, FW and so on) use them.

Thx in advance.

Sorry about that. I'd talked to Wibs about it and he hasn't done the tabs/tab bars for Latium . So I thought I'll skip them. I'll try ad them for the next update though , no promises .

Yes it's true, only few 10.3 themes have them.

I noticed yesterday that BBX 1.3 and new Shinobi theme have them

Anyway Classix rocks, w/ or w/o small & mini tabs!

The 'loading ' animation of four squares lighting up in rotation -
even in this age of 'PC tolerance' makes me ill, just to look at it.

That it's a windoze theme is strike one and two, to be reminded
by small details like that is a fastball strike out.

It's odd that every time I see a whining ungrateful post like this, it's got your name attached to it. Do you have anything positive to say?

Benign/catsank at his best ... how about this idea: if you don't like it, don't use it. I thought i'd give it a try, but it was too windoze for me. So i took it off. Simple as that. No need to post here and insult the themer ...

Put me down as liking this theme a lot too (blue version). What I don't like as much are the desktops but that's cool becuase I'm hooked on the two desktops that came with the QNX theme...

This time around I'm only going to do original windows version colours so its Olive/Carbon (dark grey), Dark Green and the colour that shown in the VLC is called Ergonomic.

I'm going on holidays for a week so its gonna take a bit longer once again but it will be done.

As long as you're updating it, could you make the precise drag balls come to a point. I get really anal about those.

And any chance one of the appskins is iTunes?
