A new browser is available for the mac. It uses the engine that safari uses, a realy good feature is one that shows you all possible words that match your search query.

ugh too buggy. Server seems down. I'll host it if anyone wants to see it. I love the skin and buttons though.

A screenshot would be helpful.

Edit: Nevermind. The site is back up.

looks very nice (love the transparant skin!), very fast but still quite buggy and lacks even the basic features. Still, very promising. Apparently it's going to implements tabs in a similar fashion as OW 5.

It's interesting. I wonder why they decided to emulate longhorn's appearance though, things like the widgets being on the right hand side will be very unpopular - it does look quite nice and shows that transparency is certainly possible in OS X.

Very buggy though, couldn't get it to load anypage.

I am afraid to touch it, it is some kind of freakish Longhorn meets OS X abomination.

Opera is better than this... I bet everyone will say that. I hope this app gets better. Right now its ugly as sin.

I happen to like it a lot - it's very fast although the having the widgets on the right-hand side has to be changed. Look forward to an update with tabs!!

Wow, I don't know how my app made it here. :O

You are all looking at the old version of AeroBrowser. The next version is a lot cooler, with a visual redesign including special CoreImage effects. Look forward to a well refined app that, although it might not do *everything* that Safari does, it is still an enjoyable experience.

This program is really a pet project of mine, and I only really use it to show off Mac OS X's graphics. Think of flipping a window to access preferences on the back, or maybe cube transitions as you change tabs, or ripples across the window skin as you move your mouse - the usual eye candy. Perfect app for showing off with.

As you can imagine, AeroBrowser (NextGen) will be a Tiger-only app.

I can give you a small preview of the next app. Bare in mind that this page will update with each of the new features added during the development process.

Ah, that's cool grabberslasher. I guess as a way to learn programming and show off all the cool stuff, it's a good project.

But why did you settle on the Aero appearance, I mean you could be creative? - this isn't meant as a criticism.

Because at that time there was a project for windows called aerobrowser (which was trying to imitate the longhorn browser in xp) but it was cancelled for some reason. Many PC users wanted somebody to revive it but no luck.

But I started as a project to do it in mac os x and soon I had full transparencies and effects the windows version could never have. Anyway, the whole browser interface will be redone with my own artwork in the Tiger version, widgets and all.

Looks interesting. Certainly needs to have standard close/minimize/zoom widgets on the left hand side though. No question about that.
