hi.. is there anyway that you can prevent the powerbook from going to sleep when you close the lid? any third party hacks or whatever? i would like to carry my powerbook from point A to point B without it going to sleep and taking forever to wake up..

I own a pismo 400. Thank you!

1. Make sure Appletalk is off. That's almost always the culprit when a PB takes too long to wake.

2. Get a G4. They sleep and wake almost instantly. It's ready to use before you even get the lid fully open.

There is actually a system extention called insomnia that prevents sleeping, I beleive it was shipped with SoftWindows and SoftPC you could try to find it.
