A new video (below) shows what appears to be a 3D-printed mockup of the next-generation iPhone. The unit has a 4.7-inch display, along with numerous other differences versus the iPhone 5s. These include a relocated power button, rounded edges, and a rounded flash. The mockup is also thought to fit rumors that the phone could be as little as 6mm thick, something previously claimed to be causing problems manufacturing batteries.

A similar mockup manifested earlier this week, but featured a protruding rear camera that doesn't show in the new one. That could suggest that one or both mockups are inaccurate, or simply incomplete. Another possibility, argued in some quarters, is that the previous mockup was of an earlier design, and that Apple has since improved the internal layout to allow for its usual flat, streamlined camera.

The music took me straight into the set of a Japanese porn. Phone porn, and not a Japanese company, but I digress.

Just to be picky ... the headline should actually read, "Video shows 3D mockup of alleged (iPhone)" and not "Video shows alleged 3D mockup ..."

There is no alleging about it, that is definitely a 3D mockup, whereas the shape, size and design of the iPhone 6 is very alleged indeed.

@Gazoobee: Absolutely correct. I gave up nitpicking on linguistic details here a long time ago, though. The finer details of journalistic excellence are lost on the folks who run this joint.

Feature request:

(Actually this is more for the iPod Touch 6 and not the iPhone)

1. Return the ambient light sensor.
2. Bring the compass to iPod Touch.
3. I want to use my iPod as an altimeter because it has a nice big display (watch displays are too small for my eyes).
4. Bring GPS to iPod Touch...I'm not paying out-of-my-*** for a phone just to use its GPS.

Well, everybody else is, and thus your problems have long been solved for everybody but you.

Factor your next phone, altimeter, and next iPod touch into the price and you'll probably be pretty damn close to the price of the low-end iPhone.
