Has anyone been able to install this successfully on a MacBook Pro in BootCamp and have the drivers work?
I have been having a ton of problems.
I am aware that it is not supported and such.
The previous version did work.
I only use it for games.
I do not want to use XP because it is old and out dated.
I do not want to use Vista because it flat out sucks.
So I use Windows 7 and really do not have problems.
Basically the apple drivers do not work, and I can not get it to work in virtualization either.
Any thoughts?

SP2 came out yesterday for Vista.
I've got the Beta of Windows 7 running perfectly on my MBP (non Unibody).

The Boot Camp drivers should sort of work, unless you're trying to use 64-bit Win 7 on a Mac which doesn't have the supported 64-bit drivers (most don't.)
Win 7 should also be working fine in VMware- haven't tested Parallels myself but I'd be surprised if that didn't also work.

Many x64 drivers will work though. Just ensure you've downloaded the Vista x64 boot camp update
Apple - Downloads - Application Updates - Boot Camp Update 2.1 for Windows Vista 64
Install/reinstall the drivers from Apple's Leopard DVD (or your Mac's restore DVD if it came with Leopard).
Then install the boot camp 2.1 update for vista (it works for windows 7).
Some stuff may not work but a lot will.

I have some stuff that doesn't work either, if it's any consolation. I have a late 2006 MBP.

Yeah, i know the feeling. I am so discouraged with windows.
I would really like to get rid of it all together.
It is not worth the hassle at all.

I'm running Windows 7 RC1 32 bit edition on my 2007 MacBook Pro C2D 2.4 GHz with no problems here. I just used the latest version of the Boot Camp drivers (2.1). Didn't even have to hunt down the audio driver like I had to with the first public beta.

Can Toast 7 successfully burn a Windows 7 RC disc that BC will recognize?

I see no reason why not, it only needs to burn an ISO.

Disk Utility will also burn the ISO just fine. That's what I used to burn a bootable DVD.

Toast worked. I have to say it's a decent OS as far as Windows goes, although I think those access privilege dialogs that by default are completely modal to the point that everything else is grayed out are ridiculous. At least you can turn them off.

Yeah, no problems here on a late 2008 Unibody MBP. I actually used the Boot Camp drivers that were included with the installer -- they're slightly newer than the general 2.1 release. It runs pretty hot, but that's partially because it's running on the 9600M.

No problems on a 2007 MacBook. The OS X 10.5.0 DVD drivers work fine for me. I've had this Macbook setup with either two partitions using Bootcamp, or as a completely Win7 RC1 machine, external monitor and all, and it works great.
