Canada leads the world's industrialized nations in marijuana use

According to the 2007 World Drug Report by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Canada has the dubious honour of leading the industrialized world in marijuana use, at least when calculated as a percentage of population.

According to the UN report, which is a staple of police forces around the world, 16.8 per cent of Canadians between the ages of 15 and 64 smoked pot or ingested one of its derivatives last year.

That's well above the world average of 3.8 per cent for the same demographic and ahead of almost every other country in the world save for Ghana (21.5 per cent of the population), Zambia (17.7 per cent) and the tiny island-states of Papua New Guinea and Micronesia (29 per cent each).

Hey, I'm not surprised. Lots and lots of pot coming out of the Okanagan Valley. Interestingly though, the US and Mexico both produce signficantly more pot than Canada, but then again, they have much higher populations. All together, North America produces 1/3rd of the world's supply.

Because marijuana is a psychoactive drug, and god said that you should not change your mind/mood artificially.

After I stopped smoking weed last year it caused the US to drop out of the #1 spot and Canada moved ahead.

Yeah, it's legal, but it ain't 100% legal. I mean, you can't just walk into a...restaurant, roll a joint, and start puffing away. I mean, they want you to smoke it in your home or certain designated places.

Indeed. Though he also said the body was a temple.. we should watch what goes in it.

I think all things had it's purpose. Remember, the bible never said to not drink wine. But to not drink SO MUCH that you get "drunkard"

For example. Someone who smokes pot once in awhile if they have stomach aliments. VS. Someone who smokes up multiple times a day just to get high.

You can say the same about opiates. There are times in my life when I felt opiates were a "godsend" and times I felt that they were the evilest thing in the world.

The latter was because I choose to make them that way.

Abusing anything is bad. And they are just tokens for the real thing.

That said, people are going to do what they can to get by in life. Regardless of laws, or right or wrong. It's our own choices that dictate our life.

Mr. Rogers was also a man-killer.
Okay, so he was a Navy SEAL, which is extremely cool. But still...

If you are refering to him being in Special Forces or whatever it was, that information is incorrect.

Canada is fun.

It is one big party and if you hurt yourself partying the government pays for it. Plus if you are lucky they even give you more pot to make you better.

I've had enough, Somebody FedEx me some reefer. I promise to put it to good use. My country means too much to me to let Canada pass it by.
I've already smoked more weed than Snoop Dogg ever will in his lifetime. If it was harmful I wouldn't still be here.

I figure the key was CPR, but recuse isn't resuscitate, so I figured I was waaaaaaay off.

Maybe the lower gravity in Canada has something to do with this.

Reduced gravity in Canada
