F@ck... I cringed so hard I think I sprained something.

I keep on seeing examples of people who have dug up proof of Bernie's participation in the civil rights movement.
It's not quite the same, since AFAIK no one was challenging it, and we're talking a little later time-wise, but there's this Black Panthers documentary on PBS. Fred Hampton is speaking outside the Bobby Seale trial and...
HOLY SHIT IT'S MY DAD!
When I told him about it, his comment was "well, now we know that's been in the FBI file this whole time".
That's pretty awesome. I purchased the documentary for my movie collection. I imagine it will shed a lot of light on the actual history of the Black Panthers and the conditions that led to their formation. It's the same type of conditions that led to the Ferguson unrest and the formation of the Black Lives Matter movement.

PS: As for Paco500's post that was a reference to this little gem of an exchange right here.
Do you dolts ever get tired of trying to derail threads? You definitely have the largest egos around, and that's saying something.

This is not even remotely surprising. As I stated in an earlier post:

If the Bernie Sanders' support among minorities on Super Tuesday looks anything like what it did in South Carolina then you can stick a fork in him because he's done!
The issue for Bernie is that he not only lost minorities, he lost them with a lot more than expected, AND he lost whites. We might see a Super Tuesday where the only state Bernie wins is his home state.

You're absolutely right. You didn't explicitly say he was liberal, but if my high school SAT classes taught me anything if you reference Clinton and Paul in one sentence then Liberal and Libertarian in the next, the inference is clear.
I feel I can reinforce my supposition that your social views are more moderate than liberal based on your past posts on topics like gay marriage legalization and abortion regulation.
What's classified as "liberal" keeps getting pushed further Left with each passing year. After recently talking with some Danes, they'd consider you to be horribly backwards and conservative.

Some key results among African-American voters on Super Tuesday:
Alabama: Clinton 93%, Sanders 5%
Arkansas: Clinton 90%, Sanders 10%
Georgia: Clinton 83%, Sanders 16%
Oklahoma: Clinton 71%, Sanders 27%
Tennessee: Clinton 85%, Sanders 12%
Texas: Clinton 83%, Sanders 15%
Virginia: Clinton 84%, Sanders 16%
Some key results among Latino voters on Super Tuesday:
Texas: Clinton 71%, Sanders 29%
It's all over for Sanders except the screaming and the shouting.
The Bernie bros were too high and couldn't find the polling stations.

Doubtful. We're talking a candidate that spent four years working directly with Obama. That's a lot of street cred. As an unknown, it was up to Bernie to prove his cred. Shitting Obama from time to time didn't help, justified or not.
Anyway I realized I can't vote for anyone because of PAs dumb closed primary. Yay for having no say in the nominating process because I refuse to bend knee to one of the parties!

Yeah... I didn't closely follow how Hillary has been courting the black community, but I'd be shocked if she didn't tout her direct affiliation with Obama.

How does it work there?
Here, you get to pick which party you're in for every primary, at the moment you take a ballot. You can change every year if you want.

She's done what Gore didn't - embraced a President popular with his party rather than running away from him. It's made me kind of like her, among other things.

Well, that's the other angle. Bill is a ****ing campaign machine.
I don't think Gore lost directly from his failure to embrace Clinton, but he did lose Bill stumping for him.
Location: Iowa, how long can this be? Does it really ruin the left column spacing?

I was registered as an independent until the caucus, where I was able to re-register my party affiliation for the purposes of caucusing. I need to check on what it would take to revert back to independent.
Yes, but he did lose it. It was not a state he could afford to lose. Sanders is behind, and the Dems process remains proportional delegate all the way, so it is very hard to catch up (the GOP primaries change to some variant of winner takes all for most states, which is the slim hope Rubio clings to). It will be hard enough for Sanders to win the minimum states he needs to draw even (which includes states like Michigan and Ohio, where he is far behind) - now he also needs to make up the loss of Massachusets. Sanders is running out of time. In two weeks time we will have the results for states like Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and Illinois, and the current likely answer is that Clinton picks up wins with decent margins in all of them, along with a few southern states. That is, almost literally, the ball game. She can limp along losing almost everything else and still have 50% of the votes - and that is not even counting the super-delegate advantage she has.

I'm not even defending her, I just think this isn't a particularly good example. I'm sure the right will come up with some doozies once the general election starts and this one will look lame.
I suggest Republicans save their ammo this time around. The "throw everything but the kitchen at the wall to see what sticks" approach is what they did for Obama, and I'm getting exhausted even trying to imagine a repeat of this for Hillary/Hitlary.
With all of her years in office we should not settle for anything less than actual substantive stuff. No former pastors, flag pins, country of birth, stuff she did in college, etc. all that stuff was pretty lame with Obama, and will be even lamer with Hillary.
"why are there not more african-americans in office"
"There's a somali-american here in town "
"meh"
"You should run for office!"
"eyeroll"
I don't consider this a slam, so much as a joke that doesn't sound funny. Or honest career advice. That young woman should run for office. She's involved in her community, interested in politics, why not?
"why are there not more african-americans working for you?"
"There's a somali-american here in town."
"One?"
"If you think it's so easy, why don't you run for office?"
"I will."
"Yeah... right.."
That's more like it.
That temper is going to get her in hot water. I imagine she feels that she can say anything to a black woman, given how much she feels they owe her.

The more you watch Hillary clips the more you notice what a horrid POS she is. It looked like Hillary just wanted to dismiss the 'supporter' and was pretty snotty about it.
