I am downloading a file from my friend through iChat and I want to leave it run all night. I also made sure that the screen won't go sleep and disconnected. My question is how can I dim the screen darker to black screen like I can do on a powerbook G4.

I did press "F14" to dim the monitor but it is not enough. I need to get it darker without having me putting a shirt cover the Monitor.

Thanks!

You can let the screen go dark if inactive, just make sure you have not set up the modem to disconnect after x minutes. This is how I download those 97MB system updates over a phone line. I have never had a problem doing this. HTH
