I'm learning cocoa and I made a basic text editor in Project Builder. Now I want to make an installer or transferable program. This will be used to distribute it too my friends and family...just to show them what a mac can do in 5 mins...
Anyways...I tried to get packagemaker to work..with no luck...so my question is... What Next?
Is there an easy way to make it a regular application? If not easy...how do I do it?

Why not just build and .tar.gz it?

Jeez, you don't know how to use TAR?!
man tar from the terminal.
Actually, the proper way of distributing software on OS X is via a dmg. See various articles over at Stepwise.
Don't use pkgmaker. It's evil. Not only does it have a tendency to screw up things (again, see the article over at Stepwise) but it's also pointless for most apps. The correct installation method for OS X is drag and drop.

I know that this may be really obvious, but if you are looking for the Application that you can hand out, the executable can be found in ProjectBuilder under the products dropdown once you have compiled your project. If you already know this, then my apologies... I just thought that maybe this was missed.
