Can anyone give me a good pointer to a reference for setting up the Tomcat plugin on Apache? I would like to use my Mac as a small webserver, but I want to serve JSP. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

What do you mean by Tomcat plugin? There is more than one.

There are several connectors but I believe that the newest is mod_webapp. Apple has a really good tutorial on Tomcat in their Internet Developer section. Here's the URL for it.
http://developer.apple.com/internet/java/tomcat1.html
Actually, the entire Internet Developer collection is really good. There's one on JBoss as well.

Does the mod_webapp not work for anyone else? When I configure it the way the dev article says, I first get a warning that the module is already loaded (even though there is no reference to it) and then an error that the virtual host is invalid. This has just started happening since 10.2

I had trouble with mod_webapp as discribed on Apple's site. In fact, because I am using Tomcat for devlopment at home, and do not really care about appearances so I gave up on the module. Now I just add the port number ( 8080 ) at the end of my URLs.
I have found one page that looks like it might be a work around for this modulue problem, but I have not spent time testing it yet. You might want to give the following a peek:

Actually, I fixed it myself. I had to separate the lines in the httpd.conf so they went with what was already there. I.E., The LoadModule line was added immediately after the other LoadModule lines, the AddModule line was added immediately after the other AddModule lines, and the IfModule stuff was added all the way at the bottom.
After I did that, it worked like a charm. I didn't do any of that with 10.1.5, so I must have gotten lucky. Anyway, I actually configured this on two different machines so I know it works.

I would avoid mod_jk if I were you - I have used it in the past and it is not as easy to configure. The only down side to mod_webapp seems to be finding the stupid thing.
