i am trying to make a simple desktop picture. a plain colour with the apple logo. like the grey boot screen.

i was thinking that i could get an image of the apple logo, but then i wondered if there is a wingding type font character for the apple logo.

that would be perfect since it would look good, anti-aliased, etc.

any ideas?
thanks

Hey, yeah this is fairly simple and can be done from most font. Just type [option]+[shift]+[k] and you'll get an Apple Logo... for example, this will work w/ the Lucida Grande font.

Hope this helps

If you download MacBoot (search versiontracker.com) you can see the Boot image and get the exact colors.
