On a drive with OS 9 and OS X installed on the same partition, Office 2001 files double-clicked in OS 9 try to open with the Office v.X application. Of course, this gives an error and the file has to be opened the roundabout way.

I did a temporary fix by marking the Office v.X applications invisible. But I don't like that. Is there any way to 'hide' the OS X apps from OS 9 without making them actually invisible?
