Of the big American beers (Miller, Coors, sort of still Bud) I find Miller to be by far the best. Of course, that's not really saying much. I only ever drink the stuff when visiting the inlaws in rural Illinois where a) I don't think there's anywhere I could get anything better, and b) I'd feel bad asking anyone to stock their fridge/cooler with anything more expensive.
So I'm voting for great taste!

ah, Coors Light - the worst beer in the world imo. Lucky you had a backup.

Kind of a mix between regulars and lights, but you see what I'm getting at.

tonight I'm going to an old man's bar - a nice Irish Pub with all the standards on tap (Guinness, Murphys, Smithwicks & more)
I need to cleanse my palette after this thread. LOL

You're probably right, I haven't had a Michelob since high school. I can't seem to find it anywhere either.

Pizzaria Uno's got it ever since they started serving that as their super cheap beer during snack hour instead of Killian's.

I'll add this to the list
Worst I've ever had. $9.99 for a thirty pack of cans.

I just got back from a Jon McLaughlin concert and had a Shiner Bock while I was there, it was quite tasty.

Get an American Microbrew (Sam Adam's close, not quite. It's a Macro-Micro). I personally prefer Schlafly for drinking in general. (Yay St. Louis!)

Yay Sclhlafly! Great brewery, and great beer! Too bad they only sell in the St. Louis area

one of my favorites...not the best beer out there by any means, but like you said, it's quite tasty and cheap here in central TX where it's brewed
