I personally feel that that red has too much "umph" to it..any possibility of a more subtle outline color?

The red part is a little bright but besides that it's a great design

looks really neat so far
please keep the buttons as they are
its uniqueness grabs your eye and pulls it toward the mockup (oww!)

are vertical gradients possible in metal windows? i don't know if you're going to the minimalistic look, but if you are you should tone down the gradients or get rid of 'em.

has a tron look to it - perhaps you can grab the tron dvd and work off that for some inspiration (if you haven't already )
there were some tron icons on iconfactory a while back, not a complete set though. again... just helping with ideas.

Okay... so what should I use instead of gradients... it looks kinda plain without them.

This is your theme and you are the one making it... Please, please keep that in mind.. You will never please the masses... Just make a theme that makes you happy...

Some TRON icons and desktop pics appeared on ResExcellence earlier this week. You might get in touch with the author to see about using them to supplement your theme...
