Okay, I know I should give these kids some slack, but I have to state that after watching a couple of episodes of "Ice-T's Rap School" (VH-1), it's TV that's painful to watch. Ice-T is attempting to teach dorky white kids at a prep school how to rap, and it's downright awful. At least when Gene Simmons did his version of Rock School, there were instruments for the kids to play; the kids had some talent. Is Ice-T that desperate for exposure these days that he'd take on such a train-wreck of project?

It happens whenever black culture is adopted by white culture. Cute. Predictable. It forces blacks to find some OTHER way to be distinctive.

Yeah, but have you seen this show, marden? The black kids have nothing to worry about from this "competition."

Yes, I did watch a few minutes of an episode.

And while you are right, these kids are not rappers, they're not even respectable wiggers, this is just one indication of what was once hard core black cultural expression becoming acceptable and even admired and embraced in white culture.

It's just a prediction. But you can think of me as an apologist if that helps.
