Has anyone been able to get a confirmation from Apple regarding the Software Proof of Purchase Coupons that come with new Macs and OS X? They're supposed to be good for new versions of the OS, but I've been bounced around Apple sales for about two hours now and I still haven't received an answer either way. Some of these people aren't even aware that these coupons exist apparently. So what's the good word?

Finally, after four sales departments at Apple spoke with me, they tell me that they aren't aware of the PoP Coupons being valid for an OS X discount of any sort. Apparently they aren't even aware that these coupons came with almost all new Macs last year...sheesh.
