I always thought this look worked well with the 9, and in gold. I am not too fond of the light blue, and the X used later on.

It's funny how they used the Aqua design in earlier products and nobody knew it would become the new interface design for OS X.

Back in July I had the pleasure of going to Palo Alto, a city close to cupertino and if i am mistaken, the city where he lives.

Anyways,

Of course i went to Infinite Loop, and those guys over there collect their mac os x boxes like trophies. After two windows, i kinda gave up on taking pictures of all the windows that had those boxes displayed. but you get the point.

its a shame that the place was closed cause it was 4th of july weekend.

Whatever the third server box is (10.3?)
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

10.2 was definitely hot at it's time, but now I think Panther Server with it's embossed logo-box has the upper-hand. Tiger-boxes are alright I guess.

Wait are we talking machines or packaging material?

For packaging material I'm kinda fond of the original OS X box. Though for machine... I'd have to say the Dual 2.7Ghz G5 is quite the box.

I think all of us will pretend that we don't collect the boxes, too...

I collected mine for a while... and then they got damaged and beaten around when I have to clean up my room after some flooding. I actually used to have Mac sales pamphlets for the iMac when it was still the G4 and stuff on my walls... when I got a surprise paint job on my room they took them down and didn't put them back up... which actually was kinda frustrating... I still have the power that came with my G3 iMac... wish they still gave out posters with new machines.
