Is ResExcellence truly the definitive listing of all themes for OS X? I know OS X is hard to theme, but I suspect there are more themes out there SOMEWHERE...maybe some are non-legit mods and stuff, but still...

Example: Pro Plastic was an excellent theme that just popped up outta the blue in the forums here. (I'm not sure about the author of it btw.)

So more to the point: what themes are there that are NOT listed at Resexcellence?

I was pondering the idea back with 10.1 themes. Good luck, I hope a killer site is started before too long.

I wouldn't waist the time of making a geocities or free hosted site, if you're going to make a theme archive you'd better go full out and make it like DeskMod with a domain and good deign.

I'm too lazy to get my site off the ground. I registered themetracker.com a long time ago and have a nice server to host it on, and can code the site.. But I can't do the design.

Maybe if someone could help me out...

Any help?
I'd take you up on the design if I didn't already have a full platter. If things clear out for me in a few months and you still need a designer I'll get back to you.

I might have something for anyone wanting to couple up to do a site, but I have to talk to my partner first...

And we have yet another round of attempts Good luck to all! We do need a definitive, searchable, categorized site for themes.

I can definitely do web design. If you can do the nitty gritty coding, I can do the graphic design =)

Maybe we should create another themetracker-specific thread?

Mockups for potential designs? (I was maybe thinking something milk-ish?)

Well I'll provide feedback at this point since I'm quite busy with my own design projects.

Hey Tulkas,

I emailed you about my engine. Its pretty much fully functional if you want to check it out. I am hosting it local for now, but it does most of the features they are asking for as is. Just needs to be modified for handing themes and thumbnail previews. Thats about it. All the the main features everyone wanted are done.

- Searching (name, username, description)
- User accounts
- User management (upload, delete, descriptions)
- CSS themable control of the engine look

Anyway, I do have a site coming around. We're almost good to go but if anyone wants to help feel free to email me (rjsanddls (at) mts.net)

Maybe we should all get together and share in working towards our common goal?

I own vBulletin and I have no current use for it...

What do you guys think the theming community needs? So far, a basic database of themes with user reviews/ratings is already set up at Macupdate.com, which does its job pretty well, so what's left?

A common place for news? Interviews? Reviews? Any thoughts?
