This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom International, Inc.

It seems Viacom loves to delete music videos on youtube a lot. Why does Viacom do that?

I have no idea.. It seems to me band produce music video to gain exposure, or simply for "fun". I don't see them as a source of income.

That really irritates me... Same goes for small sample from TV shows.

Videos I've saved on youtube, said that in red letters when clicked on it. You won't find it, unless you go thru someones profile and you may find a video that has been deleted by Viacom. Most are deleted by them, but the rest are deleted by someone else.

Viacom sues Google's YouTube for $1 billion

Mar 19, 2007 8:00 AM

Viacom has filed a lawsuit seeking $1 billion in damages from Google, alleging copyright infringement by YouTube, its video-sharing site.

Filed in U.S. District Court in New York last week, the legal action follows a complaint Viacom made to Google last month over the alleged unauthorized posting of Viacom videos on YouTube.

At the time, Viacom demanded that Google remove more than 100,000 of its clips from YouTube. Google responded that it would comply with the request.

In the lawsuit, Viacom claims that YouTube has allowed and benefited from "massive intentional" copyright violations of its video content. In addition to the monetary damages, Viacom is asking the court for an injunction barring Google and YouTube from continuing the alleged infringement.
