I just bought a 12" iBook after the PowerBook updates turned out to be so disappointing. I've very happy with my purchase, but I'm a little concerned about the AC power port. On my PowerBook the AC adapter plug snaps into place. On the iBook, it just slips in. The internal power stem (that connects to the logic board) is also very off-center from the rest of the port. Are there issues with this type of 'fit and finish' problem, or is something off-kilter here?

Did it get stepped on some how? Have you tried other cords? Its a spot of stress on all laptops (you know this already i'm sure)
Definitely have had issues with it myself too. Does it light consistently?

It should be able to sit in there securely and not come out if tugged on lightly.
My Yo-Yo adaptor is loose but my white brick sits in tightly.

I wonder if maybe you could squeeze the end of it to more securely snug inside of the iBook. Sort of a hack from AV world with RCA cords.

I just noticed that the internal power stem (that connects to the logic board) is also rather off-center... I've had this for a few months and nothing seems to be wrong.
