do you use conditioner? why? some people use conditioner because they have dry hair that tangles easily. others use a combination of shampoo plus conditioner because it has a refreshing 2-in-1 formula.

I use conditioner, but I keep it separated from my shampoo, because the man from Queer Eye says that it is better that way. do you use conditioner, and why?

I think most people use conditioner if they have long hair. It helps keep it untangled.
I don't use it.

2-in-1. My hair is rather thick so it's softer if I use some sort of conditioner, and it's just easier to have it combined w/ the shampoo. May not be as good, but it's better than nothing at all. I can tell when I use a shampoo with no conditioner and I don't like it.

I have long hair and so I have to use conditioner, keeps it soft and helps when I comb/brush it. Other wise the brush starts ripping hair out of my head.

I've been using Head -n Shoulders (which is 2-in-1 I think) with Pyrithione Zinc for over 5 years and have had great results with it. It makes you hair and scap feel fresh while repressing dandruff. Though over the past 2 years or so, they removed the chemical in the shampoo that gave it a methalated smell and fresher sensation. Still good stuff though, you can't go wrong with it.

I use Pert Plus (a 2-in-1) myself. Ii've found that if I don't use conditioner my hair is much harder to put a comb through, and it's not even all that long yet (though I'm trying to grow it out).

I have found one tip that seems to help it feel better: once you've found a brand you like, you'll note that it probably offers several different types (extra body, dry/damaged, and so forth). Find two types which suit you, and when you're through with one bottle, buy a bottle of the other type. Keep switching between them -no need to do it daily; doing it on a bottle-by-bottle basis is enough) and the results will speak for themselves.

The other thing I've found: don't blow-dry your hair. Ever. Seriously; towel-drying takes a lot longer, but it leaves things much softer. If you must blow-dry your hair, use the coolest possible setting; this still takes longer but won't do as much damage.

No. I shave my head on a regular basis. Keeps me from getting stuck in the "Lather, Rinse, Repeat" infinite loop. All I need is my bottle of shower gel.

I just use Head & Shoulder's shampoo. But I hear conditioner afterwards tends to soften out the hair, perhaps I should subscribe to this method.
