Looks interesting. Miniseries so it might just be on par with the books. Not thrilled about the actors though.

Hrm, I'll have to check it out, though I was disappointed with their Dune miniseries (but thank God for William Hurt.)
What a ridiculous title. Made me think of this travesty:

Always pictured Ged being a little younger, at least in the first book. Hopefully they'll just skip Tehanu....
Anyway, I don't see there when this is on TV....isn't that supr.

Good God, It's been over 20 years since I read these, but saw the advertisements and was half hopeful half terrified.
Takes me back to Disney's Black Cauldron. What a freaking travesty that was.

If I still had TV, I'd watch Battlestar.
I like the new one.

December 2004.
First thought: Good God, no. - but then I saw that Ursula Le Guin herself appears to have been directly involved.
So hm.
(I actually really liked the Dune miniseries; it was a lot more faithful to the book than the Lynch version.)

Looks like it might be pretty good to me. I will probably attempt to watch them tonight.

Yeah... having the author involved is usually a plus.
The SciFi Dune movies (2000 & 2001) went into more detail, but for the most part, the costumes were horrifically inaccurate and the acting, on the whole, was dreadful. Now, a synthsis of the acting in Lynch's and the length and detain of SciFi's would be wonderful...
