Ever since I upgraded to Mac OS 9.2.1, Remote Access has been dialing out on its own. I have a 56K modem hooked up to my only phone line, and it's frankly quite annoying when I can't get calls because my G3 is surfing the web unsupervised.
Any thoughts?

Bojangles, I don't have any solution to the remote access problem, but its been happening to me too. I have the internal modem on my G4/466 connected to my only phone line and like you its quite annoying when my mac goes online by itself. I have also noticed that the open transport control panel takes a really long time to load when my mac starts up. I hope somebody has a solution for this because while I've gone back to 9.1 and that solved the problem, I'd like to use 9.2.1 if I can.

Have you guys checked in "options" in the remote access control panel? Under "protocall" if the first box, "connect automatically, yadda yadda..."is checked, would that be causing the problem? Just a guess, I have dsl and don't use Remote Access.
