Anyone have any ideas on good software for college students?

Depending on your school, you can get Office 2004 for Mac for CHEAP. The deal depends on what school you go to and what contract they have with Microsoft. In the University of Texas system (at least the schools in San Antonio) I can get Office for Mac for less than $20. Ask at your school's book or computer store.

Yeah I found Microsoft Word with the notebook view to be fairly helpful. It does have some quirky bugs and will crash sometimes so autosave should be your friend.
