The cold weather has finally hit us, and I should have gotten my car washed on New Year's Day, when I still could.
And I didn't look half bad in the get up. Damn you nipply, shrinking cold!

I have no sympathy for any floridians complaining about the cold. When I got it up, this morning it was 4F. My truck groaned as I tried starting it up (and so did I when I trudged outside).
Right now 8:40, its a balmy 7F degrees with a windchill of -10

Florida is no longer a winter haven (except Miami or south after January)
My last few winter trips have totally sucked.
The south pacific is a different story though: 75F off of Okinawa.

It's a brisk 45° right now. Lovin' it. Windchill was in the high 20s and low 30s last night, I believe, but it's not so windy today. Very nice, and much less cutting.

It was about 45F in south beach yesterday, but the sun was out so the out-of-towners were still sporting shorts and sandals. Some of the locals had earmuffs and hats on.

Actually global WARMING can create cold spells like we have been getting.
The glaciers in northern canada melt so the wind traveling south gets cooled and blow down to us.

And if that's not enough, you can cozy up with Hugo Chavez' gas.
