Want to do bulk e-mail in large quantities. Is there a Mac bulk e-mail program anyone can recommend from experience? Is a Bulk E-mail program using my computer as a server the best way? Also, can a regular program like OE handle this. If I'm correct I think OE or programs like it would transfer using the server at my ISP. From what I read this may not be the best method.

Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Note: This is not for Spam mailing as some have thought. I have legit business sales/marketing reasons.

I thought Mac users were above bulk emails. . . I guess not. Personally, I hope you don't find what you're looking for.

Oh Please.... there ARE legit reasons for bulk mailers. Among other things, my employer is a PR firm. Some of our contacts request that instead of fax or postal mail, we email them press releases. The ability to interface with our FMPro database is a true timesaver.

And to do that, we use MaxBulk Mailer: http://www.maxprog.com/shareware/MaxBulkMailer.sit

Just use it responsibly!

A related question:
I've often wondered if it's possible in OE5 (or another email client) to save third party 'CC' addresses to the Address book? Using the add to address book in the tools menu only adds the sender's address - however I often see cc'd addresses for friends or aquaintances who I didn't know were online, and it's a drag to have to cut and paste to the address book each time.

I saw a program pass through MacNN a few months ago called EmailMerge... You can find it here:

Why not just use a perl or PHP mailing list script and put on a web server? Much more flexability.
