I paid 1700 hundred for it all told 6 months ago, including software. has:
196 MB Ram
12 gig hard drive, another 12 gig for the expansion bay.
DVD
OS X 10.2.4, 9.2.2
various software:
office 2001, norton sys works, vpc (4 and 5) with windows 98, all the usual apple software. also like adobe photoshop and subsidiaries.
the reason I ask is someone told me its only worth $900 now, and I was hoping to sell it and buy a 12" with superdrive after saving up a bit. I'm dissapointed with its speed, its not really THAT slow, but its not zippy like I'm used to. Will more ram fix that, or do I need to get a g4 500 or g3 800 upgrade card for it or WHAT?! Oh, also, can I get an external superdrive that'll work with iDVD?

WoW! Me thinks that you paid too much to start with. About six months ago, I bought one that included the airport base station for $1,000.

I did get the G4 500 upgrade and it does make a world of difference.

Yesterday (3/3/03) the Pismo on ebay referenced in an earlier post sold before bidding for $650. Just a reference point.
