Hello all,
My wife is finally going to let me buy an iBook!
AaaAand, since I am addicted to the crack we all call customizing, I wanted to know how all you custo'ed iBookers out there are sexing your beautiful white slabs of storm trouper power? Yes... I mean your iBook, sheesh you perves...
Lemme know.
R
P.S. I am totally wanting to get a MacSkin that looks all clear save for the black parts of the storm trouper helmet

Sorry to rain on your parade, but MacSkinz really aren't happening anymore. They haven't done anything for months and there's no indication that they're going to start again. Check out the thread in the Mac Mod forum.
This is one reason why I'm not so into laptops and all-in-ones. They just don't have the expandability of a tower. Towers are all unique - no one has exactly the same thing as me.
That said, there are plenty of mods you can perform on an iBook. A lot of people have done simple paint jobs, while others have done the more ambitious task of removing all the white paint and going with a translucent colored finish. A simpler mod is to just make the little glowing Apple logo on the screen lid change colors. That's pretty easy to do by just removing the back of the screen, putting in a piece of colored paper, and putting it back. At least I think that's how you do it.
Anyway, this belongs in the Mac Modification forum, not the GUI Customization forum. If you want to go for a more interesting and custom user interface, go get ShapeShifter and download a few themes to try. But it sounds like you want to actually modify your hardware, and that belongs in Mac Modification.

I use Max's Tiger theme or Milk most of the time, with Snow.E2 icons.

Cappucino Orbital is a nice fit to the not-so-white-interior of the iBook, and takes on the round elements like the ON/OFF button and the speakers.

This can no longer be done with the newer ibooks. The plastic is no longer painted from within, it is colored.

You can also use Unsanity FruitMenu. There are dozens of Contextual menu customizing apps available, and many are free.
