Just an improptu survey to see people's music taste. As you read this post, if you are listening to some music, what song is playing?

My Sweet Lord, by George Harrison.

A great tune with some nice slide guitar work...

...for a little fun, compare it with "He's So Fine" by the Chiffons and see if you can spot more than 5 differences.

Hopesfall-End of an Era.

You like hardcore? Get it. Also go to mp3.com and get a bunch more of their songs.

Yeah, you can get Goldfinger/Mest/Good Charlotte's "The Innocents" at mp3.com. It's good punk.

'refusal of leave to land' .. by black light district (a coil side project). it's on the excellent album, a thousand lights in a darkened room. this can be tough to find (and expensive!) in the states sometimes.. but if you're looking for something totally different, it's worth the effort.

also listening to a lot of merzbow lately.. 'cause i'm such a whore for noise.

anyway, i'm feeling guilty for mentioning somewhat obscure stuff.. so how about 'pushit' by tool..

I went and saw Gerling live a couple of weeks back (Corner Hotel, Melbourne). They were very cool - most fun I've had in ages.

Switched to King Crimson "Red". The whole record. After which, I will just put the "THRAKK AttaCK" CD on repeat. Suits my mood. Looks cool in visualization mode on iTunes.

Beatles: Rubber Soul. Currently playing: Think For Yourself (yes, a Harrison tune). This is one of my favorite Beatles albums, from the period between 'cute' and 'psychedelic'.

That's too bad, you're missing out on a lot of good music. I listen to Boy Sets Fire, and they're anarchists - one of the dumbest political belief systems around. Well, to each his own.

"Rocket Man" covered by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
