I don't know if this is normal, but on my 12in PB, I get audio output to my receiver through the heaphone jack.
Is it normal that the mini-jack doesn't go in all the way ?
I tried all sorts of heaphones and cables, and they all won't go in all the way, they all have 1 or 2 milimmeters remaining on the plug, but they won't go any deeper (not without applying force anyway, wich I won't risk doing).

This causes that on the slightest movement I loose my audio conection, move the cable and it's goes back to normal ... very anoying.

Did the best I could to explain the problem ... anyone ?
thx

I wish I had a 12" PB but in my TiBook the cord goes in all the was and actually feels very "stiff" and hard to get into. But from what I understand this is a hardware issue and warranty or applecare should take a look at it.

I would like to confirm I have no problem with the jack, it will go in all the way and without distortion.

I had this same exact problem. I sent mine back to apple and they fixed it for free. took them 3 days, and I had it back. I didn't have to pay either.

I have a 12" revB as well and do not have this problem. A standard size 1/8" jack fits perfectly and is fairly snug. I would call Apple about it if yours is not fitting in and you are using a standard size jack.
