Man, you were off to a great start on this - Rave reviews, good progress, and you were learning. Now you're releasing it "open source", which is a nice thought, but I guarantee whatever happens to it, you're going to regret not doing it yourself... Releasing a theme is something of a badge of honor around here, especially one as sweet as this one promises to be - take a break if you need, but don't just drop this one...

It's my last day of school, so my free time just got a lot bigger, I'm going to try and finish this theme for him, I hope I do it justice.

EDIT: been working on it for half an hour and allready found aload of problems that will need a lot of work done to them, I can see exactly why pyn would feel like giveing up.

It's a current progress, so we're not even sure this will be the definite button...

Also, as I understood from the first post, it's based on Aero. Depending on the themer's wish to stick to the original source of inspiration, this could well be it (I'm not familiar with Aero myself). If you don't like it, too bad - but at least you'll be looking at the real thing.

That said, the Finder View buttons look like a challenge left open.

The finder view buttons have not been tackled yet, this theme has a lot of work to go, i just made those buttons so i could use the theme all the time, I find this helps me find more errors and there for make a nicer theme at the end.

Can we get a copy of that with the theme?

Any chance you need a beta tester?

1.) i'm makin' a series of konfab widgets that will be in the complete suite package, plus bezeltunes will also include aeroesque skins.
2.) he can't release that modded itunes widget b/c it's arlo's unless he recieves permission, and they still won't be the official aeroesque widgets
3.) why do you want to beta test a theme that is totally incomplete and is not even prettied up yet? it'll look really ugly if you use it and you'll complain etc... NO BETA TESTERS UNTIL IT IS A BETA!!!

This is not at beta standard, when it is at beta standard I will decide along with pyn who will recieve a copy of it. This could be a while, I'm hopeing to have it done by the 4th of january, simply because that is when I resume school, but looking at other themes I doubt that will happen. I am working along side pyn rather than independantly as i feel this will make the theme better and has allready aided the production of this theme.

It is hard and tireing work though, so we shal see how it goes, but i am completley sure that I will finish this great theme, even if it takes me a while.

I'm just saying I don't like them. It's a quiet hint for the devs to change them... (Tho I can always mod the theme )

Relax, the preview is here (I've only had 10 minutes to implement this design hence the dodgey scroll bars) This is the new view buttons, I like these ones a lot more, what you reckon?

I don't know after xmas maybe, possibly later depending on what I am doing over this period, also you see a much more finished theme as I have bsicaly finished the finder, just so I can use it but almost all the buttons are default and I have to apply them. I am basicaly doing the skins for carbon and cocoa right now, which is takeing forever to look as good as metal apps due to the way they use the same resources.

And yes I can read that font

p.s. I will never ever touch scroll bars ever again ever after this, line up damn it line up!

I was hopeing to have some sort of beta out to my testers by the end of the week, but I have had to spend all week designing a website and some other crap (yes even a small part of xmas day)

So obviously that mean It's not comeing along so great, I'm far away from where I stated from, but there has been alot of set backs along the way.

However I had plans for tomorrow that where cancelled, and the site is done, so I should be able to get 0.1 out to my testers by the end of that night or the morning after, screens will be posted when they are available, however I cannot promise anything as alots not been going my way of late, but the tide seems to be turning

I've just had a major exam on monday so I took time out for that and have been trying to just chill out and get back to normal after that (my new girl friend realy isn't helping with that )

However I am almost at a beta stage before I stoped, and I will be working on this again this weekend (again girlfriend permitting) should atleast get sunday to do it. Don't worry I will make sure I get this theme done, but I realy cannot give any sort of date as everything seems to just be getting busier and busier. Screenshot will be posted when I feel enough has been done to warrant them.

None what so ever I'm afraid, everytime I sit down to do a bit of this I have homework for this, coursework for that or a graphics project to finish (note no girlfriend to have to bother with anymore). I wont have any time in the holidays either as I'm spending the whole week in new york on a school graphics trip. This thing kills my attention span more than anything else I have ever done ever and I havent got a clue which bits need editing and which I've done, but I'm not going to release this till I have done a highly indepth theme, I want to change practicaly everything which means its going to take time and alot of it at that. On the plus side I've managed to con my way into haveing only two lessons on a monday, so if i get the earliest train back and get a particularly strong cup of coffee (I hate coffee I think I'd need the caffeine) I might manage to sort out some major niggles. It's the progress bars that made me stop so i think I will just ignore them for a while.

as posted on macthemes, i have stopped all development on aeroesque, for a few reasons: 1. im sick of the site of the damn thing 2. I have alot less time now than I thought I would and 3. the origional concept, design, and creation of the theme where not my own and so following the mockup becomes very challengeing as I want it to look exactly the same but it doesnt because I do things a different way.
Pyn is currently looking a themer to take on my last tpark file and finish the project but I'm not to hopefull that anyone will accept the challenege due to a large amount of difficulties and time waisting encountered with a black and clear theme. I personaly hoped that Pyn himself would complete this theme once I gave him my near complete tpark file, if no one accepts then I presume my tpark file will go open source

on the plus side I am part way through creating my own designed theme called "neo classic" which is moveing alot faster which is the only reason im doing it, that and I love dark themes

It looks quite boring, same look as many with gradients everywhere. There is no styling or creative attempt to it. It also feels really cheap and cold due to the gradients like its just floating about plus the close min max needs alot of work.
I had not seen the original, but the new one to me it just seems like there was no pride put into it.
I know people like the minimalist style, but how many does one have to make? It's like film sequels on and on till everyone hates them.

This is an original theme and I don't think everyone'll hate it. I like it.
But the old one just seemed awesomeness, this new one goes. I especially liked the black gradient of the old theme. That's what made it have a special place in my heart.

I like it!

I still think it bears more resemblance to iPhoto 5 than Aero (the white buttons and the floating brightness/contrast window), apart from the titlebar widgets, which I also like very much. I hope to see it made.

Edit:
