I've been listening to Beck's new album Guero for a couple of weeks now. His music gets better and better with each album he releases. Anybody else like his new album?

It's decent, but this is the first time he hasn't reinvented his sound, so some of the songs sound stale -- too reminiscent of past works. Still good, I just don't know how long it'll be in my listening rotation.

"You rise," he said, "like Aurora."

I've listened to it once, but it didn't really grab me. Mutations was my favorite Beck album from the second I heard it. I like others, but something about the Mutations vibe just got to me.
Beck does good work.

I just bought it last week. Good stuff. Great CD for summer.
I like the "Black Tambourine" and "Go it alone" cuts.

It would be dark for me to pay hard earned money to Wynona Rider banging $cientologists. Moral conviction says I must not stray there.

I'm enjoying it, and I really liked the iTunes 8-bit variations. Hell Yes is some good stuff, and there are a few others I'm really digging on the album - glad I got it, but I wonder if I'm already straying away from it.

Guero is great, but Sea Change is still my favorite of his albums. the SACD is fantastic.

i thought sea change was worse than garbage. seriously. i hate britney, and etc but even they know how to cheese it up and make something catchy and listenable. that crap he put out was boring garbage justin timberlake would spit on.
however, guero is good. the only song i dont like is "missing" because it reminds me of seachange. i dont believe he has to re-invent himself everytime. guero sounds really neat.

I'm with APU, Sea Change sucked but Guero is very entertaining. Goes well with the ever increasing good weather around here.

I'm trying to give Sea Change the benefit of the doubt, but you're right, there is nothing really catchy about it, or even immediately interesting. I hear it every now and again in the office, so its starting to grow on me, but its taking its sweet time.
Guerro seems kind of the same, but there are a couple tracks that I kind of groove too. I like hell yeah strictly for its light hearted entertainment value.
