HI

I am looking to buy a cheap copy of adobe indesign 1.5, as this seems to be the cheapest version around.

Can i ask, does anybody know if

1) This software is relatively up to date?

2) Would it run nativelky in mac os x, or would i require classic mode?

Thanks!

1) I'm not sure what you mean by up to date. You may want to check with another user that has the program installed to see if it will run on the current version of OSX. I would suggest at least version 3.0 (which is named InDesign CS). Right now i am using CS2 which is version 4.0. I'm sure others will be getting rid of their copies of CS to upgrade especially since it is the last version without product activation.

2) I'm unsure on this. I think 2.0 was the first to work under osx (without the use of classic)?

Get InDesign CS2

By Far the best version they have put out.

Quite the Quark Killer.

It opens Quark files natively as well.

Don't know about 1.5, but I'm still living a couple versions in the past and am running version 2.0.2 under Tiger with no problems so far. I'm looking forward to scraping up the cash to upgrade my Design Collection to CS2 soon, though. From what I've seen it'll be a quite the jump forward.

InDesign 2 was the first native version. But what do you want InDesign for that you don't need to use the rest of the Creative Suite?
