Hi

Just have to ask some more "newbie" questions here. When a HD is initialized ( due to a new HD or a "rebuild"), is a clean install the correct way to install the OS? I`ve tried to find out through the "mac help" installed on my machines, but they all seem to assume that there is already an "operational" OS up and running.

Thanks for any input
Tom

The difference between a "clean" install and any other is whether previous preferences are kept, and so forth.

When your HD is initialised it is erased, essentially - you have no previous system folder to import items from.

In other words, just do a normal install, and it'll be all good
