Other World Computing always had free exhibit passes available for free. It doesn't appear so for this year. They only offer discount registration ($25).

From Macworld Bound
"Thanks to IDG and their marketing team we’ve secured 100 exhibit hall passes to our readers at no cost at all. I’ve said a few times that if you have to pay for your exhibit hall pass then you’re hanging out with the wrong friends and that’s the truth.
After these 100 have been used, this code will still allow you to get into the exhibit hall for $10 dollars."
Go to Macworld - Homepage | Macworld Conference & Expo and during registration,
enter the priority code: 08-d-slh
If that doesn't get you a free pass. Try Priority Code: 08-G-PC256

thanks stogster.
I reg'ed a while back, but a friend of mine who recently got a mbp is now all of a sudden interested in macworld. =)
that being said, it looks like my asking caused a huge ruckus.
sorry ghporter for upsetting you. It was my fault for not reading the forum rules. I didnt realize that I couldnt resurrect threads older than 6 months. (except in certain circumstances). My overriding concern was to not start a new thread (as that usually upsets people as well).
the reason why i posted again on the old thread, was because i bookmarked that one, and hadn't realized that you moved my post. when the old page loaded, i didnt see my post, and thought that i hadn't posted yet. So of course, I proceeded to post on the page. it wasn't to upset anyone or cause confusion, it's just my own forgetfulness mixed with my post no longer appearing.
in any case, i just regged my friend, and it looks like i will now have 3 newbies to macworld tagging along with me. =D
I hope it'll be a blast!
