Ugh. I remember growing up and our neighbors kids were just as sadistic with kittens and bikes. I wont describe because it still p!sses me off when I think about it. No animal deserves this.

These are sick kids.
Truly something has gone wrong in their upbringing and they need serious counseling, as do their parents.

Death is withholding what he'd do to them because it would cause mass nausea... although the lead pipe is appealing.

Nah; just do to them what they did to the dogs: a couple firecrackers in the mouth (scaled appropriately for size; one M-80 each should be sufficient). If they survive that (a big if, I know) then they've paid their debt.

While it's disgraceful, would anyone care if they were puting fireworks in native ant colonies? Probably not because ants are cute and cuddily. Just puting this into perspective.

I don't see how an insect that functions off of nothing more than instincts has anything in common with a puppy or any other mammal.

That argument makes less and less sense every time it is used. Why not bring up amoebas?

That is sick. What's even sicker is that if it was Iraqi inmates instead of puppies the right wingers in the political lounge would have called it "mere hazing".

Doubtful...but I do find it quite ironic that there is more sympathy for these puppies from the left than individuals like Nick Berg, Daniel Pearl, etc...

edit: That is pretty damn sick to do what these kids did. Maybe Michael Moore can do a documentary on the evils of the 4th of July and fireworks...hell, maybe he can find a way to blame Bush too!

There were far worse things done to Iraqi inmates than making them form pyramids naked. I suspect you already know this, but if not, go read Maj. Gen. Antonio M. Taguba's report.

Yep. Saw this on one of the local news sites (I live in the same town as PowerMacMan). I rarely keep up with local news, as it seems it is mostly depressing stuff like robberies, car accidents, etc. I saw this article and I decided I'll go back to avoiding the local happenings once more.

P.S. - People who do this sort of thing to a defenseless animal are broken in the head, and it is only a matter of time before they do something to another person. Just my opinion.

It's amazing... my dog, Maggie (2.5 yr old Lab/Pointer) is being rushed to the vet since she is acting very, very sick. Swollen elbows the size of golf balls, not moving, trying to throw up, hot nose... my wife is taking her right now while I am at work and my comments exactly, "whatever it takes to make her feel better, call me if you know anything."

And on the other hand, cretons using living animals as target practice.

Insects make up the foundation of our ecosystem. Puppies do not.

Hope no one would care about torching ants with a bic lighter and a can of starting fluid.

Not that I would do that... on several occasions... yelling "burn, baby, burn!"

one of the most common factors among serial killers is cruelty to animals when they were

children, so it's important to find these kids. some major brainwork needs to be done

here.

it's really strange...no matter how cruel man can be to a pet, the pet will still almost always trust and unconditionally love man. this can always be seen by the pictures of the suffering and dying pets in the loving hands of handlers at the shelter after their ordeal.

Forget ants, children, and puppies. Step. 2, don't kill anything that feels.

I wish I was a vegetarian by now, so I could summon up more outrage.

edit: if you only read the first sentance or two and closed the window like me, open it back up and read the rest of it, there were two survivors. You can send contributions i'm sure to the "Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" mentioned in the article who are caring for the survivors, and to the Tulsa SPCA who, among other organizations unmentioned, have raised over 1000$ as a reward. contribute to the reward, or give information if you can.

http://www.tulsaspca.org/

"Two juneniles have been taken into custody....they admit setting fire to Melody, the 4fs month old black lab.....Crimestoppers tip led to two suspects who confessed....abuse not a hoax. the mother dog was lying next to the carcasses of her babies. they've admitted to felony animal abuse._ They admit to dousing the dog with lighter fluid and setting it on fire.". The suspects, who are 14 & 16 years of age will stay in custody.

Amaya is depressed but responding....she is starting a little tail wagging._ She is not eating well, but fleas are under control now.

Tulsa SPCA is partnering with the Citizens Crime Commission & Crimestoppers to build a reward fund, now at_ $18,000, for information leading to to the arrest & conviction of those responsible for the cruelty done to these animals.

Animal Cruelty is a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison & $10,000 fine"

Last year in my city, some sick 14-18 yr olds murdered a homeless man by burning his home down and taunting him. before the attack they had gone in and poured water on him and told him it was petrol. They had also force fed him cupcakes. The man died and the sick bastards taped it. AND ONE OF THEM WAS A GIRL!!! Whats wrong in our world!!

Poor puppies.

not to turn this into a vegetarian argument, but there are fundamental differences between killing dogs and killing animals for food. these kids killed the dogs for the FUN of it. the FUN of it. people kill cows for SUBSTANCE. FOOD. to live. when we kill a cow, we use everything. its skin, its meat, its bones (i think), we don't kill them just because we can.

yeah, they should have eaten the puppies, then it would have been alright. death by firecrackers isn't too dissimilar from the way it's done in slaughterhouses, at least in the areas of pain and such.

I'm provegetarianism, I'm not one myself though I'd like to be. I enjoy the taste of meat, and I do believe there are health benefits at some level for those who eat meat sparingly. Of course, I can live, and live quite well being a vegetarian, as would the animals.

p.s. the bones are used to create jello.
Sorry to derail the thread here, just clarifying my opinion.

no, it still wouldn't have been right. maybe if they were starving and had no other way of food i might see how killing a dog would be okay, but killing a dog for the hell of it is not okay. i don't just walk into a barn and start killing all the cows just because i felt like it.

and even if they DID decide to eat the puppies, it still wouldn't have been okay, since that wasn't the mindset in the first place.
