I've not used it for a couple of months, but it was working fine last time I did.
I just connected it up, hit the power key and nothing. No fans spin up, no sound... the entire thing seems dead.
Any suggestions?

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

Sounds like a dead battery to me too. Did you have the machine unplugged while it wasn't in use? If so, it'll draw from the battery instead of the wall.
I have a Motorola StarMax with a dead battery. I can usually get it to boot if I hold the CUDA button for 10 seconds or so. Not sure if your machine has one or not, it'll likely be easier to just buy a new battery.

Hi Amorya,
not sure what the problem is but a 6200 will start up even without a battery in place only a few models are affected by a dead battery - the old 6200 ( I owned one ) is not one of them- I ran mine without a battery for over a year.
Total silence is usually a sign of no power getting to the wee beast - fuses? Cannot recall if there are any- but that is where I would start working checking the power supply
sorry I cannot be more helpful - but hopefully by now you have it sorted
