Disagree. If you clarified your statement to say "GM or Ford" designs, then yes, I'd probably agree with you. Chrysler, however, has some pretty stunning models out right now (crossfire, 300C, pacifica).

But yes, the cavalier is butt ass ugly. I cannot believe what they did with the taillights, one big gigantic skidmark of red complete with faded GOLD redneck symbol. Good LORD. I think I've seen better car designs in the bowl of my toilet.

You agree with me often because I'm right most of the time, and unfortunatly you've just been 'tricked' into thinking the Z4 is a good design. I park next to one everyday, and it's putrid. The Z3 looked much better.

Mine's dropped 40mm, which is a tad too much, I scrape a bit on the summer 17"s in that picture. Stock 15"s fit just fine... they'll be on soon, winter is coming.
I agree. Corrados are INCREDIBLE cars. If I had the $, I'd be looking for an SLC with a bad engine, and any wrecked 1.8T vw. I'd have to say Corrados are easily best handling FWD car I've ever driven, easily. They might not get skidpad #'s like a neon ACR, but the balance of handling, and compromise between harshness and comfort is incredible, even with lowered springs. As for how tall they stand, yeah, I guess a little bit too high, but I'd change your statement to say as tall as "MOST" subarus.

PS: Any trouble driving with a lowered car in the winter? This will be my first one in my SVX (dropped 1.5" in front, .5" in back)

Highly subjective. For example, I think VWs are too boxy and aren't stylish at all. But that is what is known as a subjective opinion.

You are going to have to learn how to post opinions as opinions. And not facts like you have a habit of doing.

Regardles of reliability, they look like horseshit, have HORRIBLE build quality (gee is that panel supposed to not line up with that one? WTF is this big dildo in the middle? Oh it's the shifter!), and a complete coma inducing ride. The ONLY good thing about a cavalier is that it's going to improve your work ethic because you'll want to get a better car.

What you are refering to is fit-and-finish. And you are correct about Cavalier/Sunfire fit-and-finish leaving much to be desired, although perhaps not to the degree that you state. Most motorists, however, might give up a little fit-and-finish for better reliability. I would. The Cavalier/Sunfire are very good sellers in part because you can get almost Honda-like reliability for almost Kia-like prices. With that said, I have purchased 3 used cars in the last 3 years and have never considered an American car. Partly because I am brand-loyal to Honda (Honda made the Passport/Rodeo/Amigo cousins) because I have had previous good experiences and partly because I like the overall build quality of Hondas: from fit-and-finish, to paint finishes, to drivetrain. You may disagree, but that is okay.
It I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you.

You're a ****ing idiot. Neons look decent. It's the interior that sucks.

Here's my old one, and it looked pretty decent:

With a little bit of aftermarket parts, they can look pretty sweet:

Well, I fear I'm on my way to an SLC with a bad engine... mine's burning more oil than I'm happy about. It's pretty easy to leave a big noxious cloud of blue smoke behind at anything more than 1/2 throttle, some days less than that. Sometimes, it's just fine. It's never the same... *shrug*.

I'm not sure if I'd like a 1.8T in my Corrado... I love the VR6 flat torque curve. I'm pretty sure I'd put in a 24V VR6 if I ever have to replace it.

It's not any harder to drive a lowered car in winter than it is in summer. If there's so much snow that I'm dragging the undercarriage through it, I have no business driving. I'm sure with subaru AWD, you'll be just fine.

Assuming 12s is accurate, it could probably shave a few tenths off if those heavy 17" wheels were replaced with the stock 15" steel wheels with wheel covers. If it lost some of that ricey body work, mabye it could loose another 30-50lbs and loose a few more hundreths. Then it would have cost under $7* grand to build, wouldn't look like a rice mobile, and might actually be impressive. Otherwise, its just another rice tuner car.

*denotes an estimate in price

Actually no. For drag racing he has another set of 15" wheels with slicks. As for switching back to factory wheels, they're 14", and very narrow. 215's are much better than 195s. It wasn't meant to be a drag racer, it's goal was just to be a fun car to drive. With over 200hp to the wheels, a stiff suspension, and sticky rubber, it's very fun to drive. As for your price estimates, again, you're wrong. That bodykit cost $579. If I recall correctly, his front bumper was damaged due to some dick with a trailerhitch. Hence, he didn't really spend that much on it.

- Rob

If you're looking for hot rides, look no further than Broome County, NY... here's an example:

I'm figuring the wing adds at least 30hp and the orange tint at least 20 hp.

And now for part three of Broome County's hottest rides..

With this huge wing the maroon Pontiac Gran Am is ready for racing on the street or track!

When faced with a choice between having door handles or a lift kit, the owner of this fine ride made the smart choice!
