I just signed up for an AIM account and have added it to Mail, however it keeps adding extra "Sent" "Draft" "Junk" folders under the existing Mail ones.

I have tried to ctrl-click delete them but AIM won't let me. If I take the AIM account offline I can delete them, but as soon as I take my AIM account online again it puts them back.

Is there anyway to avoid these extra folders or getting rid of them once and for all?

Thanks

So are you using AOL mail with Mail.app? If so, those folders will probably be there for that account.

Yeah, I'm using my AIM mail account through the Mail app. Seems the extra folders it adds is not an optional extra. So I'll not use my AIM mail account through Mail App it looks too darn sloppy.
