Over the past year and a half, I've been totally transformed from a die hard PC enthusiast to an unconditional Mac lover. I own a 12" Powerbook and a Windoze desktop PC. The thing is, my Powerbook 12" is very slow, and all of the stuff I do now is on my Mac (i.e. Pages, iWeb, Photoshop). I haven't given it much thought yet, but here is what I want to do.

I'm going to make flyers advertising the sale of my PC, and spread them around my neighborhood. Hopefully, somebody will want to buy it. If not, I'll part it out and get as much as I can from it. Then I'll use that money to go buy a 20" iMac with 1GB of ram and 256MB gddr3. After the dust settles I will have 0 PCs and 2 Macs. Booyah.

The only problem is, I play Counter Strike: Source a lot. CS:S is the only reason I've held onto my PC for this long. If I keep my windows lisence, use boot camp, and load CS:S on my iMac's windoze partition, will it run well? Is the x1600+core duo enough to run the steam engine?

I don't know about the game but I'd advise you get more than 1gb of RAM.

The X1600 will fly with the Steam engine. Do it.

Yeah I have to say HL2 is beautiful, but Call of Duty 2 seems to suffer.

Ok cool. The only reason I would have the XP partition is to play CS:S, so it's all good. I'm gonna go make some flyers right now.

Do you have SP2 on the XP you have? You need to have that in order to install XP.

Yes it is SP2, and if it wasn't I could always just streamline it.
